Description
LYDIA, Sardis. Antinoüs. Died AD 130. Æ (18mm, 3.50 g, 6h). Struck under Hadrian. Bare head right / Silenus standing right, offering grapes to infant Dionysus who he holds in his left arm. Hochard 1945 (D184/R413); Kurth 433; RPC III 2407 corr. (bust not draped); Blum 1. Green patina, minor pitting, cleaning scratches. Good VF. Rare. Finer than any plated in Hochard, Kurth, or RPC.
